Deputy Prime Minister Mahdi M. Gulaid launched the National Risk Assessment (NRA) workshop on January 23.
He officiated the NRA consultation workshop on Saturday in Mogadishu.
Somalia Financial Reporting Center (SFRC) organized the high-level consultation on the nation’s risk assessment.
Delivering his speech at the function, Gulaid said that NRA is crucial for determining the level of cooperation between the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and financial institutions.
Furthermore, he mentioned that the assessment would equip the government and financial institutions to combat anti-money laundering/combating the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT).
