A gunman accosted, shot, and killed the branch manager of Amal Bank in Kismayo on Monday, October 26.
Abdullahi Abdisalam, who is more popularly known as Shig-Shigow, was killed in the afternoon.
Authorities and eyewitnesses confirmed that he a lone gunman attacked and shot him before fleeing the scene of crime immediately after the incident.
At the time of the incident, Shig-Shigow was on his way to a local mosque for afternoon prayers.
It is not clear why he was targeted and killed.
Security authorities have launched investigations into the matter to identify the person or group that was behind the deadly incident.
