Reports indicate that unidentified gunmen murdered a Somali national on Thursday in Cape Town, South Africa.
The trader of Somali origin was identified as Ahmed Hussein Adow.
He was accosted by unknown armed gunmen while inside his car, which was parked just outside his shop.
Local police arrived at the scene of the crime although they are yet to make any arrests.
In the past two months, similar incidents have occurred in South Africa leading to the deaths of two other Somali businesspeople.
South Africa has been the scene of xenophobic attacks for years and the government appears unable to provide security to foreigners working within the country.
Often, such attacks break out when local residents accuse their fellow Africans from other countries of taking their jobs and engaging in crime.
