Ongoing floods in Hargeisa have claimed the life of a mother of five.
The woman died on Thursday night when the vehicle she was traveling in got trapped in the waters that had flooded Hargeisa Valley.
She was a passenger in a Toyota Probox.
The driver of the car attempted to cross Hargeisa Valley unsuccessfully. He ignored the warnings from onlookers.
She fought to free herself from the floods that threatened to take her life. Eventually, she lost the struggle as people looked on helplessly.
Fortunately, the driver managed to escape together with a child that the woman was carrying.
Thus far, the woman’s family is yet to recover her remains.
