The Head of the East African Standby Force (EASF) was in Somalia for a series of meetings with senior government officials.
Gen. Getachew Fayisa, the EASF chief, held discussions with Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, the Minister of Defense.
The EASF chief and Nur met at the latter’s office in Mogadishu on Monday.
They discussed the important role that EASF could play in improving the peace and security of the entire region.
Gen. Fayisa assured Nur of the EASF’s commitment to fulfilling its mission and vision.
