Residents of Baidoa, the administrative capital of the regional state of Southwest, woke up on Thursday to news that the city was flooded.
Baidoa streets were unnavigable after a night of intense and non-stop rains.
For weeks now, weather experts have continuously reported that the region would experience the El Nino phenomenon between October and November.
Residents had a difficult time accessing their homes and offices owing to the flooded streets.
There has been no report of any casualty thus far.
