Experts are predicting heavy rainfall in several parts of Somalia from April 19 to 26.
Intergovernmental Development on Authority (IGAD) Climate Prediction and Applications Center (ICPAC) issued a statement on the impending rainfalls on April 20.
According to ICPAC, heavy rainfalls are expected in Somalia as well as Ethiopia and Kenya.
The three neighboring states in the Horn of Africa region have been experiencing one of the most devastating droughts in history.
The United Nations and other international bodies estimate that tens of millions of people in the region are at risk of famine and starvation.
As per the ICPAC warning, 100-200mm of heavy rainfalls are expected in the region.
