The governors of Hiiraan and Middle Shabelle met on Wednesday over the latest offensives against Al-Shabaab terrorists.
Governor Ali Jeyte Osman and Governor Ali Mayre Makaran of Hiiraan and Middle Shabelle respectively met in Tardo, a village along the border between their regions.
Their visit was quite significant considering that Tardo was recently liberated from the terrorists’ control.
Tardo is now free of Al-Shabaab militants following a series of operations in the village by the Somali National Army (SNA) and local communities.
The two regional governors confirmed that they would not rest on their laurels but would continue leading the offensives against the militants.
