HirShabelle Leader Mourns Death of Police Commissioner

President Ali Gudlawe Hussein of the regional state of HirShabelle has mourned the death of a local police commissioner.

Police Commissioner Mohamed Hussein Duurdage died at the hands of elite police force people who shot and killed him.

Reports indicate that officers from Haramacad, a unit of elite police officers, were responsible for his killing.

Duurdage had been the Beledweyne Police Commissioner at the time of his death.

On February 17, President Gudlawe conveyed his condolences to the family, friends, and workmates of the late police commissioner.

In his speech, President Duurdage emphasized that his administration would not tolerate such killings.

He called for speedy and efficient investigations into the shooting and killing of the police commissioner.
