Officials from the HirShabelle state held a security meeting with their colleagues from Ethiopia’s Somali State.
The meeting took place on December 31.
Sources indicate that there has been concern from both sides of anti-peace gangs crossing the border to and from either side.
The purpose of Friday’s security meeting was to find ways of preventing this incursion.
Officials from the two administrations are more concerned with the movement of the anti-peace merchants into cross-border sections of HirShabelle and Somali State.
