The Vice President of the regional state of HirShabelle chaired a security meeting on Tuesday.
Vice President Yusuf Ahmed Hagar chaired the consultative meeting to discuss security in Hiiraan and the surrounding areas.
Hagar’s meeting with security personnel and senior regional government officers took place in Mahas district.
Governor Ali Jeyte of Hiiraan was at the meeting too.
Members of Parliament (MPs) from the federal and regional state parliaments were present to air their views and seek solutions with the rest of the community.
Somali National Army (SNA) sent the chief of its ground forces to attend the consultative meeting as well.
