Huge Spike as Somalia Confirms 20 More COVID-19 Cases

Somalia has confirmed 20 new COVID-19 cases, which represents a significant increase from a month ago when it had none.

Currently, the country has confirmed 80 COVID-19 cases.

Dr. Fawziya Abikar, the country’s Minister of Health and Social Services, provided the latest reports during her daily updates to the media.

During her daily briefs, Dr. Abikar also confirmed that three more patients have died of Coronavirus thus bringing the number of deaths to five.

Dr. Abikar has asked Somalis to adhere to the measures the Ministry of Health has put in place to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

The measures include social distancing, staying at home, and regular washing of hands with soap and water. It has also banned all international and domestic flights.
