Somalia’s Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management has sent messages of condolences to the families of people killed in Jubbaland storms.
On Saturday morning, 12 people were proclaimed dead after huge storms hit the coastal areas of Jubbaland.
The humanitarian ministry has assured the public, especially families of those who were killed, injured, or declared missing, that it is doing everything to provide the much-needed assistance.
Further, it has requested the communities, individuals, and local authorities in the affected areas to be vigilant during these difficult days.
The storms took place only two days after the government launched Somalia’s new national early warning center in Mogadishu to help it prepare properly for emergencies and disasters.
