An improvised explosive device (IED) blast left the residents of Mogadishu reeling in shock, despair, and anger on the morning of January 29.
According to several sources, the IED explosion took place next to a Turkish mosque in the nation’s capital.
Security agents and eyewitnesses said that the explosion occurred in Karaan District’s Fagah intersection on Saturday morning.
At the time of the blast, Salad Arale, the officer commanding the Karaan District Police Station, was driving his car along the busy road.
It’s not clear how many people have lost their lives or suffered injuries in the shocking incident.
