The year-on-year inflation in Somalia has risen to 6.21 percent.
The Somali National Bureau of Statistics (SNBS) published this in its latest report.
SNBS mentioned that the nation’s inflation rate for the last 12 months up to October 2023 was higher than last year.
In September 2023, SNBS recorded 5.44 percent as the inflation over the past 12 months.
The bureau listed a number of factors responsible for this increase.
These include increases in house rents as well as a sharp rise in the cost of electricity and communication.
