The federal Minister of Information joined officials from the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) in briefing the media on various issues.
Daud Aweis, the information minister, was with Souef Mohamed El-Amine.
El-Amine is the Special Representative of the Chairperson of the AU Commission (SRCC).
Their Wednesday briefing touched on the progress of the ongoing offensives against Al-Shabaab terrorists.
They also discussed the appointment of special envoys on humanitarian affairs and Somaliland respectively.
Aweis and El-Amine discussed defections by Al-Shabaab to the government side.
