Brig. Gen. Bashir Mohamed Jama, the Interim Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), has appointed a new spy chief for Mogadishu.
Maj. Muhidin Mohamed Jimale takes over as the new Commander of Benadir Regional Intelligence.
While appointing Maj. Jimale, Brig. Gen. Jama also encouraged all senior officers and directors at NISA to carry out their duties and tasks professionally and efficiently.
Jimale takes over from Yassin Abdullahi Mohamud.
President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo had appointed Mohamud the new head of NISA.
This was in contradiction to Brig. Gen. Jama’s appointment by Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble.
