International Community Welcomes Ongoing State-Building Efforts in Somalia

The international community has rallied behind the ongoing state-building efforts in Somalia.

The international community issued a statement under the United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNSOM) on Friday.

They commended the efforts of Somali leaders to pursue peace and state-building.

Specifically, they hailed the regular dialogue the leaders conduct through the National Consultative Council (NCC).

The international partners reassured Somalia of their enduring commitment to help the East African nation to achieve its state-building priorities.

They also expressed delight at the news that Somalia wants to see the constitutional review process to the end.

All reconciliation efforts were also highlighted as welcome news.

Plans to share power and all federal resources also received wide acclaim from the partners.
