Somalia’s international partners have promised to support the Federal Government of Somalia and its people as they work towards curbing the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
They also commended the efforts the government has put in to contain the spread of the novel Coronavirus.
Some of the measures the government has introduced include social distancing and a ban on all international and domestic flights.
According to the country’s partners, the virus’ spread is a challenge to nations worldwide; hence, the need for joint efforts to curb its spread.
They have also urged close cooperation between Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and Federal Member States (FMS) to mitigate the threat of the global pandemic.
