The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has donated hygiene kits to 2,500 displaced families in Qardho, Somalia.
IOM said that the donations were necessitated by the recent heavy rainfalls that caused huge destructions of shelters in the region.
According to the organization, the rains that fell towards the end of April 2020 were quite destructive to the point of rendering many families homeless.
Since then, IOM has deployed its staff in the area to provide as much humanitarian assistance as they can.
Additionally, IOM announced that the hygiene kits are crucial after the rains and floods made it impossible for local families to access clean water.
