Ireland has pledged its support to the counterterrorism measures that Somalia has put in place.
This emerged after President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia met with Simon Coveney in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt on November 9.
Coveney is Ireland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Defense.
The two leaders met on the sidelines of the ongoing United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP27) in Sharm El Sheikh.
They discussed wide-ranging issues that included strengthening bilateral relations between their respective nations.
Further, they also discussed the impact of climate change in Somalia.
