The new Minister of Defense, Jibril Abdirashid Haji, honoured Somali National Army (SNA) officers killed in the line of duty.
Jibril honoured them on Saturday as he assumed the reins at the ministry headquarters.
He took over from Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur in a ceremony graced by Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre.
Jibril said that the soldiers deserved the honor for laying their lives down for the sake of the country.
