The Joint Police Programme Phase 2 Steering Committee Meeting has started in Mogadishu.
The meeting kicked off in the capital city on Wednesday.
Several senior police and government officials were at the first day of the meeting.
These included Gen. Sulub Ahmed, the Commissioner of the Somali Police Force (SPF).
Mohamed Ali Haga, the State Minister in the Ministry of Internal Security, was also present.
Participants are to discuss ways of enhancing the presence of police in the country.
They agree that increased police presence improves security in Somalia.
