Jubbaland’s special forces repelled an attempted attack by Al-Shabaab militants on Janay-Abdalla village in Lower Jubba during the early hours of Sunday.
According to reports, several militants were killed during the confrontation.
Jubbaland State media shared graphic images on its Telegram channel showing the bodies of the militants scattered on the ground.
This incident marks another significant victory for local forces in their ongoing battle against Al-Shabaab in southern Somalia.
