President Said Abdullahi Deni’s administration has suspended the Minister of Livestock in Puntland for his role in the misappropriation of funds.
On Saturday, Vice President Mohamud Sayid Aden announced that the government had opted to send Mohamed Hassan Mohamed home while investigations into funds misuse continue.
Vice President Aden issued a letter stating the reasons for Mohamed’s suspension.
In the letter, the Vice President said that Mohamed’s suspension takes effect from Saturday August 22, 2020.
The letter from the government did not specify the exact amount of money that Mohamed is alleged to have mismanaged, though.
