The leader of the regional state of Jubbaland has received the delegation from the Federal Elections Implementation Team (FEIT).
President Ahmed Islam Madobe of Jubbaland received the FEIT delegation at his office on Sunday.
FEIT members, under the leadership of Muse Gelle, arrived in Kismayo on April 17.
They are scheduled to discuss ways of fast-tracking elections for the 16 remaining Lower House seats in the region.
Initially, the polls were to take place in Garbaharey.
However, FEIT opted to relocate them to El-Wak following consultations with local leaders.
According to recent reports, the elections for the 16 remaining federal parliament seats are scheduled to take place in the next few days.
