Jubbaland to Hold Elections for Six Parliamentary Seats on January 23rd

The regional state of Jubbaland has announced that it would hold elections for six parliamentary seats on January 23, 2022.

Jubbaland’s State Elections Implementation Team (SEIT) made this announcement on Tuesday.

In its announcement, the regional SEIT stated that the elections would be for six out of the 13 seats Jubbaland has at the House of the People (Lower House).

The seats in question are HOP#028, HOP#093, HOP#107, HOP#111, HOP#114, and HOP#120.

Somalia has set February 25 as the deadline for the completion of elections for all Lower House seats in the country.
