Kaah Party has emerged the biggest winner of Monday’s historic Puntland elections.
Puntland held its first one-person-one-vote (1P1V) elections on October 25.
Electoral officials announced the results of the polls on Tuesday. According to their results, Kaah Party was the most victorious party.
Currently, the party is under the leadership of Puntland’s President Said Abdullahi Deni.
The party secured 35 seats in the local government elections held in Ufeyn, Eyl, and Qardho districts.
Mideeye was the second successful party with 25 seats followed by the Justice and Equality Party with 20 seats.
Generally, voters in the three districts elected 87 councilors.
