Security officers in Kenya were lucky when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted against them by Al-Shabaab killed two hyenas.
Apparently, the hyenas were killed when they detonated the landmine.
According to sources from the region, the hyenas detonated the device unknowingly causing an explosion that killed them on the spot.

Authorities discovered the dead hyenas on January 29.
Reliable reports from the region indicate that the hyenas died when the device exploded on Monday night.
Extremists have reportedly laid several IEDs in the area to target local soldiers and police officers.
The IEDs target security personnel in Wajir, Mandera, and Garissa counties.
