Kenya Won’t Cede an Inch of Its Territory, Warns President Kenyatta

President Uhuru Kenyatta has warned that Kenya would not cede a single inch of its territory to anyone.

Kenyatta said this during the speech he read as Kenya celebrated Mashujaa Day on October 20.

His words were directed at the recent maritime case that Somalia filed against Kenya at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

The Hague-based court ruled in favor of Somalia.

ICJ ruled that Somalia was right to claim ownership of a maritime triangle that Kenya has been using for years.

Kenyatta accused Somalia – and other countries – of territorial aggression.
