A Kenyan-Somali political analyst who had been abducted along a busy street in Nairobi a few days ago is now enjoying his freedom.
Unknown people kidnapped Abdiwahab Sheikh Abdusamad along Turbman Road, which is next to the popular City Market, on September 8.
They bundled Abdusamad into a waiting vehicle before speeding off to unknown destination.
Since then, the analyst’s family had not heard from him at all.
However, the 55-year old analyst spent Sunday with his family, who live in Nairobi’s South C estate.
Halima Mohammed, the analyst’s wife, confirmed the latest developments to members of the press on Monday.
According to her, Abdusamad returned home on Sunday night.
It’s not yet clear who was responsible for his abduction.
