The Minister of Labour and Social Affairs was in Mogadishu to visit the headquarters of the National Civil Service Commission (NCSC).
Dr. Mohamed Elmi, the labour minister, spent much of Sunday afternoon visiting the NCSC head offices.
The commission’s representatives took the opportunity to update the minister on a number of issues and priorities pertaining to the organization.
They touched on the commission’s role in taking a census of all civil servants in the country too.
Currently, there is an ongoing census whose focus is the determination of the number of temporary workers serving in all government institutions in Somalia.
