Laftagareen Returns to Southwest from Mogadishu

The leader of the regional state of Southwest left Mogadishu on May 19 to return home.

President Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen has been in the Somalia capital since last week for the presidential elections.

His plane departed the Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu on Thursday afternoon.

He arrived at Baidoa, the Southwest administrative capital, to a warm welcome from members of his administration and security officers.

Laftagareen had been in Mogadishu together with other regional state leaders.
