The Minister of Health opened a two-week meeting between the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and the World Bank.
Dr. Fawziya Abikar Nur, the health minister, opened the meeting on Monday, May 16.
The meeting features World Bank officials and representatives from the federal government’s health sector.
They are scheduled to discuss wide-ranging issues that include projects designed to support the health sector in the country.
Participants at the meeting agreed that tens of millions of Somalis in the country would benefit greatly from the developed health systems and improved services.
