Legendary Somali Oud Composer Dies in Mogadishu

One of Somalia’s most legendary composers is dead.

Hassan Sabriye Afrah passed away in Mogadishu on Friday.

Afrah, who is also known as Hassan Gareyt, is an iconic Somali oud player and composer.

He died at the ripe age of 82 years.
