A legendary Somali songstress has lost her life.
Khadra Dahir Cige, a songstress beloved by Somalis in Somalia, Somaliland, and the diaspora passed away on July 2.
Her family confirmed Cige’s death on Saturday.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud led the country in mourning the death of one of Somalia’s most beloved musicians.
