Speaker Sheikh Aden Madobe of the House of the People (Lower House) has briefed the United Kingdom Ambassador to Somalia on parliament’s priorities.
The Lower House Speaker held discussions with Ambassador Kate Foster on Tuesday, July 19.
Ambassador Foster had visited Speaker Madobe at the latter’s offices in Mogadishu.
During their morning meeting, Speaker Madobe also assured Ambassador Foster of the critical role that the federal parliament would play in delivering the much-needed reforms.
He also briefed the UK Ambassador on the legislation that Parliament intends to debate and pass to make Somalia safer and more stable for all.
