The Speaker of the House of the People (Lower House) discussed the upcoming presidential elections with Norwegian representatives in Somalia.
Speaker Sheikh Aden Madobe held a meeting with the Norwegian representatives in Mogadishu on May 8.
Hakim Svane and Heidi Elburgi Johansen led the team from Norway.
Svane is the Charge d’Affaires at the Norwegian Embassy while Johansen is Norway’s Special Representative for Somalia.
The two congratulated Madobe for emerging victorious in the recent elections for the Lower House leadership.
First Deputy Speaker Sa’diya Yassin Hajji was at the meeting too.
