Speaker Sheikh Aden Madobe of the House of the People (Lower House) held a meeting with his counterparts from two Federal Member States (FMS).
The two regional parliament speakers met with Speaker Madobe in Mogadishu on Monday.
The speakers were from the regional states of Galmudug and HirShabelle.
Ali Said Fiqi, a federal Member of Parliament (MP), also attended the meeting on behalf of the speaker of the regional parliament of Southwest state.
The leaders discussed several issues at the meeting. These included the need for accelerating debates at their respective parliaments.
They also spoke about the importance of close cooperation between the regional and federal parliaments.
