Lower House Speaker off to Johannesburg for African Parliament Meeting

The Speaker of Somalia’s House of the People (Lower House) is to travel to Johannesburg to attend the African Parliament meeting.

Speaker Sheikh Aden Madobe left Mogadishu’s Aden Adde International Airport on Tuesday, August 30 to embark on his journey to Johannesburg, South Africa.

Pan-African Parliament attracts participants from various countries in the African continent.

It holds ordinary sessions at least twice in any calendar year.

This will be Speaker Madobe’s first time attending the Pan-African Parliament since he won elections to lead the Lower House a month ago.
