President Ahmed Islam Madobe of Jubbaland met with foreign diplomats to discuss electoral delays in the region.
During the March 19 meeting, President Madobe also hailed the achievements by the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM).
Specifically, he hailed AMISOM for helping to dislodge Al-Shabaab militants from the region.
Nevertheless, President Madobe informed the diplomats that the failure by the Somali government to coordinate security strategy caused new problems.
He cited the interference by other countries in Somalia’s affairs as a factor that also led to worsening security in the country.
Madobe called for a serious commitment from all stakeholders to ensure that Somalia’s new transitional plan succeeds.
