President Ahmed Islam Madobe held a meeting with a team from the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) on October 26.
Madobe held the meeting with top AMISOM officials that included Force Commander General Diomede Ndegeya.
Major General William Kitsao Shume, the AMISOM Deputy Commander, also accompanied Ndegeya to meet with the Jubaland leader.
During their meeting, the leaders discussed several issues.
These included security of the ongoing elections.
Furthermore, they also spoke about conducting joint operations against Al-Shabaab and other militant groups.
The meeting took place at Madobe’s office in Kismayo.
