Jubaland’s President Ahmed Islam Madobe has traveled to Puntland for a meeting with President Said Abdullahi Deni.
Several members of President Madobe’s administration were at the Kismayo airport to see him off.
According to sources in Kismayo and Garowe, Madobe is primarily traveling to hold discussions on several pertinent issues with his fellow regional state leader.
One of the issues they are likely to discuss is the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Somalia is currently preparing for parliamentary elections, which are scheduled to kick off this week.
Additionally, President Madobe will hold a series of talks with other leaders in Puntland to enhance cooperation between the two regional states.
