A man who had been trapped in a Sanaag mine for the last 35 hours has been found dead.
The man, who has been identified as Mohamed Said, had been trapped in the mine that collapsed on Thursday.
Rescue efforts had repeatedly fallen short.
Finally, rescuers found his corpse on Saturday after hours of intense rescue efforts.
Rescuers and members of the local community were unable to hide their sadness after finding the dead miner’s body.
