A massive inferno razed through shops and stalls in Jigjiga market on Friday night.
Firefighters, traders, and members of the local community struggled to quell it for much of the night.
The fire was at Taywaanka or Taiwan market.
The market is one of the largest in the Somali Regional State of Ethiopia.
At the time of going to press, no casualties had been reported.
