President Mohamed Farmaajo of Somalia and the country’s Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire are currently in a meeting with regional leaders in Dhusamareb.
All the leaders of the Federal Member States (FMS) are also at the meeting.
The regional leaders are President Said Abdullahi Deni, President Ahmed Madobe, President Mohamed Abdi Ware, President Ahmed Abdi Kariye, and President Abdulaziz Lafta-Gareen.
The meeting between the leadership of Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and FMS is a timely one.
Reports indicate that the main agenda at the meeting is the upcoming elections, which are scheduled to take place in November 2020 and February 2021.
Today, the leaders are in a preliminary meeting, which will then set the stage for the second phase of what has been dubbed the Dhusamareb Conference.
President Farmaajo missed the first stage, which Prime Minister Khaire attended though.
