The ongoing military operations against Al-Shabaab insurgents will not stop until the group is completely destroyed, the chief of the Somali National Army (SNA) has assured.
Brigadier General Odawa Yusuf Rageh, the SNA chief, said this on Saturday.
He vowed that government troops would not rest until Al-Shabaab ceases being a threat to the people of Somalia in all parts of the country.
Under President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, the government has pursued Al-Shabaab fighters unceasingly all over the country.
SNA has continuously teamed up with local communities to fight the insurgents.
Thus far, the joint efforts by the military and local communities have led to the liberation of various villages and towns around the country.
