President Abdirahman Abdullahi Irro has issued a landmark Presidential Decree mandating a 50% annual salary increase for the Armed Forces, effective from 2025.
This decision underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing the welfare of military personnel, recognizing their sacrifices and pivotal role in ensuring national security.
The decree is expected to boost morale, improve retention, and incentivize recruitment, contributing to a stronger and more motivated armed forces in Somalia.
President Irro announced the increase on Wednesday as fulfillment of the promise he made during the campaigns for the presidential elections last year.
