A federal minister joined the army chief in visiting areas that government troops recently recaptured from Al-Shabaab terrorists.
Abdukhadir Mohamed Nor, the federal Minister of Defense, visited some of these areas together with General Odowaa Yusuf Rageh.
Gen. Rageh is the Somali National Army (SNA) chief and Head of the Defense Forces.
They visited the areas with other senior military officers on Friday, September 24.
Recently, the military has been recapturing and liberating areas that have been under the control of terrorists for years.
They have launched a devastating offensive against the militants in different parts of the country.
Some of the areas they visited included Yasoman.
They commended local communities for teaming up with the government troops to defeat the terrorists.
The minister and the SNA Chief assured the public that the onslaught will not stop until the terrorists are completely vanquished.
