Mogadishu is playing host to a consultative meeting between religion ministers from the two levels of government.
Ministers of religion from the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and Federal Member States (FMS) kicked off in the national capital on Tuesday, October 25.
During the meeting, stakeholders will discuss ways of eradicating the ideology of violent extremism, which has taken root around the country.
The ideology of violent extremism threatens to replace Islam, which is the religion of the masses in the East African nation.
Furthermore, the ideology seems to have risen in popularity among many of the young men and women in Somalia.
